The story is about an inmate called Ratsasan who was sentenced to life for murdering her husband. Her crime was an accident. Her husband was about to leave her for another woman. Mai’s family back home also disapproved of the relationship between them. Mai in prison faces tremendous challenges. She has to adjust to the prison with other inmates who are there for different reasons. They are all trying to make it in this world and are not in a hurry. The jailers also pose challenges to her as they try to disrupt her life. They also try to make her accept the status quo. Mai strives hard to face the challenges and emerge as a stronger and wiser person.
